Encyclopedia Britannica. Why pay hundreds of dollars for the printed volumnes of this great encyclopedia when you can access free the same information and more at this great site? http://www.britannica.com/

I begin with a personal message to you, my students, in the Internet Orientation class, but if you want to skip to the categories of websites we'll be exploring, go right ahead. And if you are on Campus T, you can find your Course Curriculum Guide here: To Guide

Message from your Instructor

If you are one of my students in the Internet Orientation class, then the Internet may, indeed, be a new experience for you. As your instructor, I will find it rewarding, exciting -- and just plain fun -- to introduce you to the rich variety of material available on the Internet.

In my own personal explorations of the Net, I have discovered these sites which I want to share with you. I hope you will find them worth visiting. If you find a site especially valuable or entertaining, please e-mail  me your reaction to it so that I can share your comments with other students. Or if you feel that a site was disappointing or inappropriate for the class, let me know that too so that I might consider removing it from the list. And finally, if on your own you discover a site that you think should be suggested to students in my Internet class, please e-mail me the URL (http) and any comments you would like to make about it.

To get to a site, click on a category in the Website Categories list. Your click will take you to the names of sites in the category. Then simply click on the hyperlink (blue underlined http) and you'll be delivered to the site -- unless the site moved or is too busy for you to visit. If for any reason a hyperlink doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to correct the problem, or substitute another site for the one that seems out of business.

Have fun on the Internet,

Cordially,
Richard Gordon
